Biography

Johann Rudolph Heinrich von Schwan was born about 1665 in Landesbergen on the Weser, the von Helversen/von Schwan estate, one of the 15 children of Christian von Schwan and Anna von Schwan.

He was named by Elzow as alive in 1683, and also named by Lindner as living about 1700. He was not named by Gauhe, Zedler and Kneschke as one of the 6 sons of Christian Siegfried von Schwan alive in 1710, but he may be confused with his next born brother Otto Heinrich who was not named by Elzow, named deceased by Lindner around 1700 but named by Gauhe, Zedler and Kneschke as alive in 1710.
